Support The New Face of Contemporary Art in Norfolk

The Rutter Family Art Foundation exists to support nonprofit arts organizations in Hampton Roads and to bring contemporary art to the widest possible audience.  The Foundation operates from the historic Texaco Building on Granby Street in the heart of Norfolk's NEON Arts District. Along with gallery space, apartments for visiting artists and curatorial fellows, the building also has a first floor space venue, originally called Work | Release. Today, the first floor is the home of Commune Norfolk, a gathering place offering a local farm to table menu as well as space for art exhibitions and private events. Group and solo shows, lectures, performance art, artist workshops, curatorial fellowships and juried, invitational and open exhibitions take place in this space throughout the year and are funded by the Foundation.

The Rutter Family Art Foundation is committed to providing the vehicle for this level of programming. We need your help in advancing the conversation with the art community here in Hampton Roads and beyond. Thank you for learning more about what we do and considering a donation of support.
